October 30, 2003 - SNOW
Today we had our first snowstorm of the season. We were only expecting cooler temperatures and a little rain. There is just enough to stick on the ground, but we are greatful for whatever moisture we receive, as we desperately need it.

October 27, 2003 - ADOPTION FROM CHINA
For those that do not already know, we will be adoptiong a little baby girl from China in just a few months. We have been working on this project for over a year, although we have been thinking about this for over two years.

October 22, 2003 - SONNTAG FAMILY IS MOVING
Our good friends, Jeff and Doris Sonnatag are moving to Oklahoma. Despite the fun others may poke at them, we wish them the best of luck. We will miss them dearly. Oh, and by the way, Jeff, can you take me to work next Monday?

July 26, 2003 - BLACKNER FAMILY REUNION
We went down to Milford, Utah for the annual Blackner Family Reunion. There were at least 75 people there, and I know that wasn't all of them. Aunt Elaine and her family hosted it this year and it was wonderful. Jody and I manned the Fish Pond, and there were other fun games for the kids. It was a whirlwind of a day as we drove down (3.5 hours) and back (3.5 hours) in one day.

June 28, 2003 - YOUTH CONFERENCE
Matt and Maki participated in a road trip for the 2003 Spencer 5th Ward Youth Conference. They traveled to Wyoming to see Ft. Bridger, traveled to Red Canyon (by the Green River), saw Flaming Gorge Dam and even went inside, and visited the LDS Vernal Utah Temple, to learn more about it's history. They were gone from 5am to almost 10pm but it was a lot of fun.

June 19 through 26, 2003 - MILFORD VACATION
All of us (Matt, Jody, Malcolm and Maki) went down to visit Grandma and Grandpa Yardley for a week. It was a fun relaxing time. We rode horses, saw Bryce Canyon, visited Cove Fort, visited an Indian museam, saw a few old pictographs, saw Big Rock Candy Mountain (I was disappointed there really was no candy there). We went and saw a play called "Born Yesterday" at the Shakespear Festival in Cedar City, and also went to the Feaste. We shot .22 guns, saw a brand new colt that was born, spent time with Grandma and Grandpa, and even had time to relax.

June 14, 2003 - ANOTHER WEDDING
Jody's cousin Derek got married to Kelly today at the Bountiful temple. It was a beautiful day. The wedding was in Glade's beautiful backyard.

April 12, 2003 - MAKI IS HERE
Today, Maki finally came to live with us today. She arrived very late at night.

March 4, 2003 - EXCHANGE TEACHER
Our family has decided that we will let a Japanese exchange teacher come and live with us. She will be teaching at our local elementary, Copper Hills.
