Some of our favorite movies
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
We saw this movie as a family and it is definitely one of the
best movies we have seen in a long time. Everyone I know that has seen it, has really
liked it. Both kids were mesmerized all the way through. It is not violent like the recent
Star Wars or scary like Harry Potter. We give it a perfect "10".
STAR WARS III
Jody and I finally went and saw this. It was a great movie. It was very intense,
the whole way through. They are right to give it a PG-13 movie, as we think it is
a little violent for children. I think it deserves a "9.5".
HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY
We give this movie a "9". This was a very funny movie,
even though we have never read the book. If you do not like British humour, then you
may not like this one. I think kids older than 5 or 6 should like this movie too,
as it is pretty fast paced.
ROBOTS
This animated movie was pretty good. My kids really liked it
and it certainly had some funny parts in it. I also liked it because it had a moral
to it and was not violent. There are fewer movies today that are really kid friendly. My
favorite joke in the movie was about music: "That is half jazz and half funk - it's
called "junk!" We give the movie an "8".
SHARKS TALE
On a scale of one to ten, I think we would give this a "7". It was an OK movie
and had some funny parts, but I don't think it is worth owning. Maybe if I see
it a second time, it would grow on me. It is good as a family movie.
MADAGASCAR
We finally saw this movie. It was probably a "7.5" as it was
better than Sharks Tale. There were a lot of funny lines from it. I will definitely
have to watch it again, and when we have the DVD, and with kids, I am sure I will get
plenty of chances to see it again.
CHICKEN LITTLE
We saw this on Thanksgiving Day 2005. It was a great movie and
the whole family liked it. Matt said it was funny the whole way through. Malcolm
like the whole movie. Jody liked that it had a good moral to it. We give it an "8.5"
